Golspie itself has a good range of services, shops and facilities including an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts annd a beautiful beach fringing the 18-hole golf course.
To the south is Littleferry, an enchanting picnic spot and to the north is the fairy tale castle of Dunrobin.
Other villages nearby include Brora, with its distillery and tweed mill; Dornoch, where there is an ancient and lovely cathedral and Helmsdale, a fishing village with an award-winning Timespan Heritage Centre - a must to visit.
